Mayday Parade

Mayday Parade is an American pop punk band. The band currently consists of 5 members, after Jason Lancaster left the band after their first release.

They burst onto the scene with their first album, A Lesson In Romantics and have been a pop punk classic ever since. Songs like "Black Cat", "Miserable At Best", and "Jersey" were very successful. To be honest, the whole album is amazing. If I had to pick a favourite song it would be "You Be the Anchor That Keeps My Feet on the Ground, I'll Be the Wings That Keep Your Heart in the Clouds".

Their albums since then have been consistenly good. Anywhere But Here, Mayday Parade, and Mosters In The Closet all have a similar sound, although they show signs of maturity as time goes on. Each of those albums have songs that connect with me deeply and as a whole I love each of these records.

Black Lines took a heavier, more raw tone than their previous albums. I personally loved it although I'm aware that some fans weren't into it. I particularly liked the heavier vocal sound of Derek Sanders on Black Lines. Three years later and they released their 6th album, Sunnyland.
